💭💭💭💭💭💭
“I don’t know what happened.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“They lie.”
“They’re toxic, unstable, batshit crazy—really.”
“They’re jealous, paranoid, deluded.”
“They’re just an alcoholic.”
“They’re obsessed.”
“They have mental health issues.”
“We tried our best.”
The accusations looped in my mind like a broken record.
Unbearable at times—until curiosity cut through the weight.
I needed to know.
Were these the tales they whispered behind closed doors?
Did the people they confided in believe them?
So I began to show up:
Events. Public spaces. Casual gatherings.
Not to confront.
To observe.
To test perception against reality.
Would my presence be enough to stir the waters?
Would they tense? Fidget? Avoid my gaze?
Would whispers follow me out the door,
or would their performance stay polished—seamless—as if nothing ever happened?
It wasn’t random.
I had threads to follow.
Breadcrumbs dropped in conversations.
Remarks made in passing.
Details too persistent to stay buried.
I wasn’t chasing vengeance.
I was seeking clarity.
Answers.
Maybe even the quiet satisfaction of seeing their polished facade begin to crack.
A silent interrogation.
Every step into those rooms was deliberate.
The air—heavier.
The voices—quieter.
This was not curiosity.
It was strategy.
A slow dismantling of the world I once knew.
One event in particular stands out.
It took me from Townsville to Brisbane,
on Melbourne Cup Day, 2020.
Melbourne Cup Day, 2020. South Brisbane-bound. What looked like a day at the races was, for me, a calculated act of truth-seeking.
Not a casual trip.
A calculated one.
I had a purpose:
To confirm a theory sparked by a previous conversation.
The details had been murky,
but clear enough to outline a chilling possibility:
Four State Secretaries had orchestrated a calculated plan to discredit me.
But here’s where the story shifts.
Where suspicion turns into something darker.
Or was that what they wanted me to believe?
Was this all part of a larger attempt at damage control?
What I uncovered on that journey was far worse.
